What is a colour profile?

Analyse your colouring and discover your colour profile.
The idea is simple: some colours flatter us and others don’t at all.
It is essentially a question of shades. No colours are totally out of the question.

Certain colours flatter your appearance depending on the hues of your complexion, eyes and hair.

Colour profiles

Here are some easy tips to identify your colour profile.
First, you need to know whether warm or cool colours suit you best.
The names of the seasons are used to refer to different colour profiles.
Each season represents a palette of colours.
If you are summer or winter, cool colours suit you best. On the other hand, if you are spring or autumn, your colour profile is warm.

Identify your colour profile

Gold or silver?

It’s easy to determine your colour temperature. Simply do the famous mirror test.
Hold gold, then silver, fabric close to your face. Observe the impact of each colour on your face.
The colour that suits you makes your complexion brighter, more radiant, and your eye colour is more intense.

Blue or green?

There is another technique that confirms the first test: look at your veins.
If they are greenish, your colour profile is probably a warm season. And vice versa, if they are blue, you probably have a cool profile.
Beware of presumptions: yellow is not necessarily a warm colour nor blue a cold colour. It all depends on the intensity and hue. For example, turquoise blue is a warm colour and acid yellow is cool.

An important detail

The colour of your trousers or skirt is not very important. It’s important to wear your colours close to your face to brighten your complexion.
